I’m glad you’re here. You are a wonderful writer, and have a good story. On the topic of how your life has changed, and how your priorities and balancing act may impact your performance, I suspect you may surprise yourself. There’s something magical about the practice of grace and balance in the pursuit of greatness. Looking forward to following your journey ✨
howwwww can you run 85 miles per week? I'm stuck on 20 😵 I don't know if I just want things to be easy and that resistance is what is making it so hard, or if it's actually hard... anyway, please keep sharing <3 I'm here for all the juggling thoughts.
Welcome to substack! As a PhD student and mom of an 8 month old, I can relate to the priority setting. I used run a little, not competitively, and today I chuckled when my Garmin notified me that I met my goal of 2390 steps. I loved your writing on perseverance too. I'm not an athlete (thanks for the reminder, Garmin!), but it made me think about my life. Anyways, I'm looking forward to more subtack thoughts and goat tales!
As someone likely starting a phd in theology (ethics/phil) in the fall with a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old at home and a very vertical trail half on the calendar ... this is very much for me, Sabrina. Excited to follow along, running and thinking with you!
Loved the weekly tally of all the other non running activities. My son is grown now, but it takes me back to how much I use to be able to squeeze into the 'crevices' as you say.
"My life is optimized for toddlers." YEP. Welcome.
Haha thanks!

Thanks, Phaedra!

Your posts make me feel like I am not alone! The double toddler life is really something, haha.
I like bagels
Have fun. Patrick Reagan was at Dark ⚓️ 34hrs cheering on the runners.
It definitely is hard to get the miles/time in as family’s grow.
Pat is the best!
Yes, agreed. And yes, bagels!
I hope you’ll derive as much value from Substack as your readers do from your writing. Welcome!
Thanks so much! Means a lot.

We have parallel lives! And thank you! You are an athlete, no matter how far you run.

Loved everything about this text. Can you give me the formula for calculating toddler miles into regular miles? 😋
